By the Office of the Prime Minister,

With utmost respect, further to the letter dated 25 Mordad 1323 [14 August 1946] concerning the murder of my son, Asadollah Naderi, the former head of the Tobacco Company in Shahroud, [I would like] to inform you that four months and five days have passed since the day of that tragic crime. The murderer of my innocent son has not yet been punished and there is no obvious sign of [progress in this case] except the sobbing and sighs of the heartbroken mother and father and the minor children, which is uttered at dawn.  I earnestly beg you to have mercy on this humble servant and issue an effective order to expedite the prosecution and punishment of the murderers and those responsible for this murder and ransacking, so that it can remedy and bring solace to the grief-stricken hearts of these afflicted ones, and that in the future, the hands of the mischief-makers will be held back from committing tyranny and aggression.
