Council for Explaining the Positions of the Greater Tehran Basij Students in a Letter to the Grand Marja-i-Taqlid:
What has caused the silence of the clergy and elders of the seminary [with regard to the fact that] the Baha’is are being presented as “great Iranian men and women”?
The Council for Explaining the Positions of the Greater Tehran Basij Students, in a letter to the grand marja-i-taqlid, questioned what has happened today, that the daughter of one of those who considers himself a religious scholar, with the support of her father, [would] visit the elders of the perverse Baha’i sect and present them as her friends, without offending anyone.
According to the member of the Council for Explaining the Positions of the Basij Students in Greater Tehran, in a letter to the grand marja-i-taqlid, they asked them to take a stand against the recent actions of Faezeh Hashemi in her meeting with the Baha’is.
[The letter begins], “Is it not that the religious scholars are strong fencing-guards that must protect the religion against heresies, distortions and deviations? Is it not that the perverse Baha’i sect is a fundamental deviation in religion? So, today, what has happened that the daughter of one of those who considers himself a scholar and [one of the great ones] of religion, with the support of her father, has gone to visit the elders of the perverse Baha’i sect and introduced them as her friends without offending anyone?”
The letter goes on to say, “In the silence of the clergy and elders of the seminary, what has caused the Baha’is to be introduced as “great Iranian men and women”, while they are confident that the father has a place in the Islamic Republic and is among the clergy of the religion? Why is it that the daughter of a high-ranking official of the Islamic Republic who also happens to have a clerical claim, easily sits under the photo of the founder of that perverse sect and takes photos with her Baha’i friends, and does not hesitate to publish these photos, and no one even protests?”
... At the end of this letter [he says], “In history we have not lacked those like Zubayr, and today we, the students, are worried about those Zubayrs who have infiltrated the Islamic Revolution and the heart of Islam and are purifying the faces of deviants such as the Baha’is, interpreting Islam in a way that is desirable to the enemies of Islam. We ask all the sympathizers of Islam to prevent the confusion of truth and falsehood by explaining the boundaries of right and wrong and to remove the veils of hypocrisy so that the dust of sedition does not rise again and cover the path of truth to the people.”
