In the Name of God

Central Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Prosecutor

Respectfully, in accordance with investigations, the Baha’i cemetery in Miandoab, which belongs to the Omana Company, was confiscated by order of the Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Prosecutor [illegible] number 552 dated 16/8/1358 [7 November 1979].  However, its title is in the name of the cemetery and deceased have been buried there since 30 years ago. The dates on the gravestones indicate that the majority of the deceased have been buried recently.  Exhuming the bodies is a violation of religious law. Your approval that this Foundation be prevented from interfering with the cemetery so that the above individuals can bury their deceased is therefore requested. Your guidance is being sought and a copy of their request is forwarded to you together with the letter from the Foundation.
