One of those people who were executed on Tuesday morning was a prominent figure of the former regime, Mahmoud Jafarian, who was the vice-president of the dissolved Rastakhiz Party for a period of time, and at the same time, the deputy head of “Pars News Agency” and the director of the [National] Radio and Television...
... In those days, saying obligatory prayers gradually became a frailty. After I took over the Iranian National Television from Sabet Pasal, whose religion is known to everyone, [we were], moving toward a time when, [after] I had invited the first turbaned person to the television station to talk, I had to leave the room and go to the control room so the person could express his words with ease. This is the same [National] Radio and Television which, until a few months ago, was operating in a restricted environment. In the same environment where everybody was acting immorally, I acted with religious belief.....
