The Imperial Court’s Response to the Telegram from [the] Hojjatul-Islams 

On behalf of the illustrious clergy, a telegram was sent to His Imperial Majesty, regarding the actions that the government must take with regard to prevention of propagation of the Baha’i sect, to which the following response was communicated by the Special Office of His Imperial Majesty to Hojjatol-Islam Skeikh Mohammad-Ali Lavasani:

The Honourable Islamic Eminences Sheikh Mohammad-Ali Lavasani and other highly acclaimed clergy, may your generosity be perpetual,

Your telegram was brought to the attention of His Excellency, the Imperial Majesty, and he requested [me] to convey His Excellency’s complete interest in, respect for, and implementation of Islamic laws are of the first and most important matters, and will be in the future. He is supplicating the Almighty God to grant him success to achieve this imperative principle.
