There is still intensive activity is taking place in the Spiritual Assemblies; regular meetings are held and organized trips between Tehran and Qom continue. The clerics approve of and are grateful for the actions taken so far, but they deem them not enough. Within political circles, these activities are seen as preliminary and foundational for the activities during the [month of] Muharram, and the government representatives are attempting to mitigate by contacting the influential, key clerics in Qom and Tehran, so that the government itself will remain in the lead as the instigator of any action, and no tension will arise in the country. Apparently Mr. Sardar Fakher and one or two of the members of parliament are also involved in this.
