Enayatollah Haghighi was born in 1933 in Najafabad, Isfahan. He completed elementary and high school education in Najafabad and Isfahan respectively. He joined military service for 18 months. He worked in various occupations for several years until he was employed as a technician for the Department of Electrical Power. In 1969 he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Dariyan-e-Naw, in Tehran. In 1976 he moved to Karaj. He was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Karaj in 1980. In June 1982 after years of dedicated service to the Department of Electrical Power his employment was terminated due to his adherence to the Baha’i Faith.
On 28 July 1983 in the middle of night he was arrested while at home. He was put in Gohardasht prison and after three months he was transferred to Evin prison. He was executed on 9 December 1984, together with Rouhollah Taalim, Firouz Athari, Jamshid Pour-Ustadkar, Jamal Kashani, and Gholam-Hosein Farhand. His body was not returned to his family; he was possibly buried by the authorities. A few days later his family became aware of his execution while applying for a prison visitor’s pass.
