Announcement of the Trial Date of the Imprisoned Baha’i “Leaders” in Tehran
The lawyers of two Baha’i women and five Baha’i men, who are former members of the “Yaran-e Iran” [friends of Iran] and have been held in Evin Prison in Tehran, since the spring of 1387 (2008), have been notified that [the group’s] trial will take place on 22 Dey 1388 (12 January 2010).
These seven [Baha’is] were previously members of an informal group that was overseeing the basic affairs of Iran’s 300,000 individuals of the Baha’i community.
