5 Aban 1387 [26 October 2008]

Dear Mr. Adyani, Honourable Member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly

We respectfully convey the following to you. The Baha’i Cemetery in Darzikola of Qaemshahr, was secretly attacked and destroyed during the eve of 2 Aban 1387 [23 October 2008] by a number of ungodly people. The perpetrators of this shameful act fled the scene and did not identify themselves. Since such an action is contrary to the desires of the Great Prophet and the most luminous religion and [illegible] is also against the law, we expect you, as the respectable member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly representing the people of Qaemshahr, to order an investigation of the matter of aggression and destruction of the mentioned place and take serious action to prosecute the offenders.

With respect

Safaollah Asadi on behalf of the Baha’is of Darzikola
