Court Verdict

Mrs. Tahereh Abdollahi Moghari has requested the issuance of a certificate of sole inheritance of Mr. Abbas Mansour Ardestani and has declared that she is a Baha’i in the documentary evidence signed by the witness. Considering that only Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism are recognized as religious minorities in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Baha’ism is considered a perverse sect and is not recognized as a religion or a religious minority, the issuance of a certificate of probate for the deceased would have no legal and religious legitimacy; hence, rejection of claim is issued and announced. This court order may be appealed within 20 days of its issuance at the respected Court of Appeals of Tehran.
