The Military Governorate’s Feast Has Enraged the Baha’is

Last Thursday evening, a glorious celebration was held by Brigadier General Bakhtiar, [head of] the military governorate of Tehran and the cross-country railways of Iran, the military officers, constables and members of the military governorate, for the glorious birthday [celebration] of His Holiness, the Prophet of Islam, at the headquarters of that organization, (the former building of the Haziratu’l-Quds of the Baha’is), in which a large number of people from all walks of life participated.

Each group expressed its religious sentiments for this great day by chanting religious slogans, and the lively cries of “Long live His Imperial Majesty and Commander Bakhtiar”, resonated in the large space of the military governorate’s mansion. The religious dignitaries, notables of Islam and merchants also took part in the celebration. Some preachers and orators spoke about the grandeur of His Holiness the Prophet and praised the assistance of the beloved king and the military governor in establishing order and fighting corruption, especially for preventing the perverse Baha’i sect, and prayed to God, asking for a long life for Ayatollah Borujerdi.

This movement has made the Baha’is, whose activity against the military governorate started last week, very upset and angry, but at any door they knocked on for help, they were harshly turned down.

Setareh-e Eslam:  We appreciate the God-pleasing action of Brigadier General Teimour Bakhtiar, the esteemed military governor, and hope that the Owner of the holy religion of Islam will always sustain the supporters of Islam and the servants of the country.
