The Baqir al-Ulum (AS) Research Institute Is Compiling 12 Volumes of Books on Baha’ism

The director of the Baha’ism group of the Baqir al-Ulum (AS) Research Institute announced the compilation of 12 volumes of books on Baha’ism.

According to the public relations office of the Islamic Development Organization, quoting the Baqir al-Ulum (AS) Research Institute, Hojatoleslam Mousavizadeh said, “Research and authorship is a significant part of the policies and activities of the group on sects and religions, which is to provide the resources and content needed to organize and support the propaganda organization. For this purpose, the Research and Authorship Department is to produce Baha’i[-related] booklets on various topics, to prepare research and writing topics for scholars and research centres of the country, in order to confront the Baha’i sect”.

He continued, “Because the beliefs of the Baha’i sect are not based on Divine Revelation and are written only on the statements of their leaders, there are gross contradictions in various cases.”

In another part of his speech, this prominent theological scholar pointed out, “The existence of such contradictions in the Baha’i sources and texts and ideological issues of this sect goes to the extent where, according to Baha’i research scholars, if we rely on their own texts, we have to accept the one word by rejecting another!”

Hojatoleslam Mousavizadeh continued, “Even the leaders of this sect have been forced to change and correct the sources of their sect several times in the last hundred years in order to escape from these contradictions and many errors. It has taken out its original and traditional form and has become a modern and new Baha’ism, so the Baha’ism group has prepared booklets in 12 titles with various research topics to be available to scholars and research centres in the country regarding the confrontation with the perverse Baha’i sect.”

Describing the first volume of these three books, he said, “On the subject of Babism, several books and articles have been written in the fields of history, ideology, society, etc., each of which in turn is a step in the direction of defending the Islamic values. And in continuation of this valuable [endeavor], we have compiled the book, ‘Research in the [Babi] Sect’, which has special features and outstanding advantages over other writings, and can be presented using reliable and dependable Babi reference sources. It provides a picture of some Babi texts in order to further [support] the contents of this book, [to help] critique and study the teachings and rulings of this sect, and to provide a comprehensive bibliography of books on Babism and critique, along with the mentioned pictures of them.”

Referring to the second volume, entitled “Baha’i Propaganda Methods and Strategies to Counteract It,” the director of research stated, “This work is published for the benefit of managers, experts and thinkers in the field of religion and culture; for some reasons, we cannot reveal any further explanation on this volume.”

The editor of the Quarterly Journal of Sects and Religions continued, “The title of the third volume is ‘Baha’ism and Russia’”.

In the end, the director of the Baha’ism Group of the Baqir al-Ulum (AS) Research Institute stated, “Three books of this collection are ready to be published, and [with reliance on] God Almighty, nine more volumes are being edited and will be published by the middle of 1393 [2014].”
