Bahram Afnan

Born: 18 June 1933, Shiraz

Executed by hanging in Shiraz on 16th June 1983

 

After completing high school, Bahram Afnan studied medicine at Shiraz University. He was a member of the Local Spiritual Assembly[1] of Shiraz. 

On 23 October 1982, Bahram Afnan was arrested at 4:00pm, while on his way to work. He was jailed in Adilabad prison, and was severely tortured for many months.  He was executed by hanging, at dawn on 16 June 1983, together with five other Baha’is, Bahram Yaldaie, Jamshid Siyavushi, Enayatollah Eshraghi, Abdol-Hosein Azadi and Kourosh Haghbin.
