300 Protestors Made Threats.
The Baha’is of Gata in Yasuj were threatened that their belongings would be looted if they did not convert to Islam.
Yasuj – Ayandegan Reporter – Following demonstrations, over 300 of the residents of Lower Boyer Ahmad moved to the area of Gata, within 90 kilometres of Yasuj, besieged the area, and asked its residents who are Baha’is to convert to the Muslim Faith.
The demonstrators threatened the residents of Gata that their belonging would be looted if they refused the call to convert to Islam. In the meantime, Yasuj’s religious leader, Ayatollah Malak Hoseini, accompanied by the police commander of this town, Lieutenant Bagheri, and other members of the police force, attended the demonstrations in Gata, and by Ayatollah Malak Hoseini’s intercession, the demonstrators gave up their violent [activities] and were dispersed.
