Dear Mr. Sadeq Qotbzadeh, the honourable general manager of seda and sima [radio and television] of the Islamic Republic of Iran,

I would respectfully bring to your attention that as Your Honour is well aware, the Baha’i community, after obeying the one true God, with utmost willingness in all aspects, is obedient to the government and considers such [obedience] as a true act of worship. Whenever a problem arises, [the Baha’i community], with utmost sincerity and honesty, seeks justice from the authorities in the same way that a child would consult its parents in any given difficulty. Now, I would inconvenience you through this submission with regard to the topics that were broadcast a few days ago against the Baha’is on radio and television, and became a cause of concern. Although in the later stages of the programme, [the broadcasting of] matters related to this community were discontinued, we plead with you to consider preventing the creation of this kind of misunderstanding beforehand, and thus maintain the general public’s security and peace of mind. It is much appreciated.

Respectfully,

On behalf of the Baha’i Community of Iran

Dr. Hosein Naji
