In the Name of God
We praise Muhammad and His family
To the Esteemed Presence of Ayatollah Khamenei,
We would like to respectfully inform you that the [members of the] perverse sect of Bahaism in the city of Rafsanjan have been engaged in teaching activities and activities against the religion of Islam for a number of years, and are using every opportunity to weaken the religious beliefs of the Muslims. They are using various tricks, such as selling their goods at a low price, deceitful behaviour, etc., to attract the Muslims towards the perverse sect of Bahaism. Seeing that the Baha’is spend most of their income on propaganda activities against Islam, and most of them earn their income through repair [of appliances] in this city, [we therefore would like to ask] about your decree with regard to greeting them, doing business with them, having them repair household appliances, and associating with these people.
(It should be mentioned that the fatwa that states “it is not allowed” is not considered [to mean] ḥaram [religiously prohibited] according to the culture of the city of Rafsanjan. If the above matters are ḥaram, please use the word ḥaram.)
In the Name of the Almighty
Any form of association and contact with this perverse and misguided sect should be avoided.
