Askar Mohammadi was born into a Baha’i family. When he was seven years old his family pioneered to the village of Rahimkhan, in Bukan, Kurdistan. He was a farmer by profession.
On 2 April 1982, a number of Pasdars raided Askar Mohammadi’s home in search of weapons. He told them that he did not own any, as he was a Baha’i. They subsequently shot him multiple times in the back. His body was laid to rest in the village cemetery by his family.
