By the Fatwa[1] of His Holiness Ayatollah Borujerdi,

Consuming Pepsi Cola is Officially Prohibited because the Founder of the Pepsi Cola Organization [in Iran] is a Baha’i

This order is more in the nature of a religious decree

Residents of Qom have refrained from buying or selling Pepsi Cola

According to reports from our correspondent, His Holiness Ayatollah Borujerdi has prohibited the consumption of Pepsi Cola, and as of yesterday, people have abstained from buying or selling Pepsi Cola in Qom, in response to that order from His Holiness the Ayatollah.

According to our investigation, since Mr. Sabet-Pasal, the founder of the Pepsi Cola Company [in Iran], is a Baha’i, this order is more in the nature of a religious decree and has had a favourable response in religious centres.
