In regard to the accusation against Mr. Ali Ahmadi, son of Yousef-Ali, of involvement in propaganda activities against the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, investigation has been carried out in relation to the contents of his file by the authorities of the Information [Ministry] Office of Qaemshahr, and in view of the discovery of a large number of documents related to the teaching activities of the Baha’i sect, participation in teaching meetings by the accused, his explicit confession to said participation in teaching meetings and his membership in the institution of three [local Friends] of the Baha’i sect, and considering the defence of the accused presented in statement number 125 - 10 Mordad 1386 [1 August 2007], which clearly indicates the gravity and extensiveness of the activities of the accused throughout the community of the Baha’i sect and demonstrates how the accused attempted to continue such activities even after having been arrested, and, furthermore as a result of other points mentioned in the file, this court finds him to be clearly guilty and his actions to be subject to article 500 of the Islamic Penal Code, according to which the court sentences him to a ten-month binding sentence. Further, according to Article 19 of the above-mentioned regulation, the court sentences the accused to a one-year exile to the town of Khalkhal. This verdict may be appealed in person within 20 days of its issuance at the respected Court of Appeal of the Province of Mazandaran.
