Private Issue

 

From Tehran – Mr. Seraji Sedaqat has sent a letter to this office complaining about [the owner of] Jala’s Dried Fruits and Nuts shop (whom he introduces as a Godless Baha’i). [Mr. Seraji Sedaqat] states that despite the strict prohibition by the chief of state against any display against Islam during the holy month of Ramadan, [the owner] openly sells ice-cream in his shop, and gathers a group in front of his small shop to eat ice-cream.
