Esteemed Office of Employment and Social Affairs, Shiraz

Greetings! I hereby convey the following.

I, Abbas-Ali Zareian-Jahromi, employee number [redacted] of the [National] Petroleum Company, worked for thirty years, four months and two days in that company, from 13 Aban 1329 [4 November 1950] to 15 Esfand 1359 [6 March 1981], in  the area of pipelines and communications in Shiraz.  I have reached retirement and my retirement pension was approved and announced to be 86,300 rials based on the ordinances of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran.  This pension was paid to me until the end of Ordibehesht 1361 [April/May 1982].  However, since Khordad 1361 [May/June 1982] until now, it has not been paid, even though, based on the policies of the esteemed Office of Social Security, the [retirement contributions] were taken out of my salary until my last day of work.  You are aware that insurance payments during the working days are meant to pay for the living of the insured after they are no longer able to work.  Since my pension has been stopped, we have also been deprived of healthcare coverage.  I even had to go to a private doctor and hospital for my prostate surgery.  I request that, based on the above explanations, you order that this matter be reviewed and the past due and lifelong pensions be paid out, and our use of healthcare and treatment be reinstated.

May God increase your confirmations and blessings,
